Dear Parents and Players for Hickman Girls Soccer 2011:
There will be a parent and player meeting for next spring's season on Dec. 15 at 6pm in the Hickman media center. If you could please make sure I have not left anyone out that you know of, I would appreciate it. This is especially true of the incoming Freshman class. Please feel free to send me their email address and/or pass this along to them or send them to the website.
I have had several players and parents asking about winter soccer. The MAC (Wilson's Fitness on Forum Blvd) is offering high school girls indoor like in the past. Since MSHSAA does not allow us as coaches to be "coaches," we must pass the organization of the events onto a willing parent to be at the games and on the bench. You will not have to collect any money (the MAC collects it from each individual player). Your job will be to pass along information and be on the bench for the games.
The MAC charges an annual fee of $25 ($15 if paid online through their website) for maintenance and such and a session fee of $90 ($80 if paid online) for the eight to ten games. The games will start the first week of January. The MAC website is http://www.soccermac.com. Click on "Soccer" and follow the links to "High School Girls." They use paypal as their pay site.
Thanks again,
Coaches

V v Pem Hill
In a game where we started slow and seemed to be in a funk, we scored on a corner kick served by Jessie L. and finished by Grace against the run of play. That seemed to wake us up a bit. We scored a little later off another corner kick from Jessie L., who this time connected with Jessie R. With a 2-0 lead at half, an inspiring talk led to inspired play and the ladies taking control of the game and preserving the shutout for Monica.

Don't Forget to Sign Up
Dear Families:
Please get in touch with Mr. Kevin Pace to sign up for shifts at the basketball championships. This fundraiser is one of the few we do that keep us from selling candy bars, cookie dough or other items that many programs must do!
Thank you,
